Advanced practice nurses (APNs) are advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) with a master’s or doctorate degree and specialize in any of these roles; certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNA); certified nurse practitioner (CNP); certified nurse midwives(CNM) and clinical nurse specialist (CNS).
